Responsibilities:Review and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics to comprehend transformer assembly specifications.Maintain materials scrap percentage to be minimum and have good control of shop floor working tools.Set up and organize the work area, ensuring that all necessary tools, equipment, and materials are readily available.Assemble transformer cores by stacking and insulating laminated iron cores according to design specifications.Install and connect primary and secondary windings, ensuring proper insulation and alignment with design requirements.Conduct routine tests on transformers, including insulation resistance tests, turns ratio tests, and dielectric strength tests, to ensure quality and compliance with standards.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, implementing safety measures to minimize risks associated with electrical work and heavy machinery operation.Collaborate with engineers, line managers/supervisors, and other team members to discuss design modifications, assembly issues, and project progress.Perform routine maintenance on assembly tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.Adhere to environmental regulations and best practices, especially related to waste disposal and recycling of materials used in transformer assembly.Work efficiently to meet project timelines, coordinating tasks to ensure the timely completion of transformer assembly projects.RequirementMust possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/ Mechanical Preferred/ Agricultural may be considered).Must have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in a related field.Must have generic skills like; the ability to work and follow assembly procedures, use of electronic components, perform quality checks, exceptional hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and safety conscious.Hands-on experience in assembling transformer components, including core, windings, insulation, and tank.In-depth knowledge of transformer components, types and specifications, and configurations as well as transformer design principlesProficiency in electrical engineering principles, including voltage, current, resistance, and power calculations.Skill in conducting routine tests on transformers, such as insulation resistance, turns ratio, and dielectric strength tests.Adherence to safety protocols and regulations related to electrical work and heavy machinery operation.Basic knowledge of the operation of a fire extinguisher and knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirementsAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely and effectively.Understanding of HVAC principles, especially those related to transformer cooling systems.Proficiency in MS Office Suite.Location:Accra Employment Type:Full TimeSalary Range:AttractiveCvs should be sent to ******
