JOB PURPOSE
To provide excellent and quality sales to clients, including managing existing businesses making sure they enjoy the Enterprise Advantage
JOB DESCRIPTION
Plan and deliver on sales strategies to achieve business and personal targets
Prospect and sell the products and services of the company
Plan, recruit and train Sales Representatives
Set targets and manage Sales Representatives to achieve personal as well as branch and corporate sales targets
Constant field activity with Sales Reps to improve on their selling skills and product knowledge
Vetting of Application Forms to ensure there are no errors
Work on and re-submit cases that are returned by New Business
Prepare and undertake sales presentations to individuals, groups and associations or corporate bodies
Effectively manage Sales Representatives with focus on their engagement, motivation and their welfare
Effectively communicate business decisions and information to all Sales Reps and other stakeholders
Handle performance improvement and performance management issues to ensure optimal performance of all Sales Representatives
Fully implement all new initiatives that leads to the achievement of key business imperatives ( Examples include, but not limited to Customer Service at Your-Door-Step, etc)
Manage key partnerships with third parties including, but not limited to, recruitment sources and partnerships, etc
Receive and distribute application forms and record same for auditing purposes
Drive the use of the E-App for the selling of new businesses
Drive quality sales that will persist on our books
Open paypoints and ensure Sales Reps sell from identifiable sources
Submit new businesses via the Sales Portal
Provide timely and useful feedback to Underwriting & Reinsurance to improve on business processes
Ensure conservation of policies through professional advice and conduct
Salvage returned cases and resubmit to New Business
Ensure daily reporting of Team KRA to Branch Manager
Handling of client issues both on the field and in the office
Follow up on commission issues and ensure Sales Reps are paid on time and accurately
Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to Broker Business Manager
Support in the orientation and training of National Service Persons/Interns
Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader, Head of Department or the business.
Required Skills or Experience
A minimum of a first degree in any discipline
At least 5 years working experience as a Sales Rep
Must have demonstrated team leadership skills
Must have a track record of excellent performance and good behaviour
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Must be very analytical
Good organizational skills
Ability to drive and have a valid driver’s license
Creative, confident and professional person with high levels of self-drive
Must be highly ethical
Excellent knowledge in use of ICT to achieve results
